Tender description

Trafford Council wish to invite providers to express their interest for the provision of Care Leaver Forum. Trafford Care Leavers Forum is an assembly of Trafford young people who are currently in/soon to be leaving care. The provider will be expected to promote the group to all Trafford care leavers and attendance to the group is currently 7-8 young people. The expectation would be for the group to grow up to between 12-15 young people over the next two years. Trafford Care Leavers Forum currently has a dedicated membership that is aware of the barriers care leavers often face. They are motivated to grow the group to share ideas on their experiences and to collaborate to achieve change by highlighting and challenging current initiatives for care leavers. Trafford are looking to recruit two youth workers to facilitate weekly meetings for Trafford young people who are currently in/soon to be leaving care. The funding would pay for 2 youth workers to deliver the sessions at 2 hrs per week; this is including refreshments and any additional time/resources. The provider will engage the young people to capture the voice and experience of being a Trafford care leaver. The young people will decide how to creatively share the voice of young people around their aspirations, the challenges they face and sharing their stories as a collective.
