Efficiency East Midlands Ltd (EEM) is a procurement consortium which establishes and manages a range of framework agreements. Our members include organisations providing services to the whole public sector including social housing providers, local authorities, blue light services and education and health related organisations. EEM's existing Asbestos Framework (EEM0024) covering asbestos surveys and removals is due to expire during April 2020 and we are looking to procure a new framework to commence on expiry of the existing framework. This is a prior information notice, to notify interested organisations of an up and coming tender opportunity. Our members include organisations providing services to the whole public sector including social housing providers, local authorities, blue light services and education and health related organisations. The EEM Membership combined property stock is in excess of 2 500 000 properties typically, consisting of a mixture of domestic housing stock, bungalows blocks of flats, and sheltered housing schemes as well as garages, communal buildings, corporate buildings, hospitals, student accommodation, universities and depots. EEM's existing Asbestos Framework (EEM0024) is due to expire during April 2020 and we are looking to procure a new framework of suitably qualified, experienced and UKAS accredited contractors. The new framework will commence on expiry of the existing framework. Works included within the new framework will cover: — asbestos removal, remediation and disposal (planned and responsive), — asbestos management survey's, — asbestos refurbishment and demolition survey's, — asbestos survey reports, — asbestos air testing/air monitoring, — asbestos specific sampling and testing, — asbestos bulk sample testing analysis, — re-inspection surveys. The framework will be split into core work stream lots which will be confirmed within the tender documents and contract notice but is likely to be: — Lot 1: asbestos surveys and analytical services, — Lot 2: asbestos removal, remediation and disposal. The framework will then be further split into geographical sub-lots to meet the needs of our wide spread membership locations. Full details of the framework requirements and how to access the tender documents when they are released will be made available in the contract notice.
