Tender description
Ashford Borough Council is seeking a high quality contractor to carry out a window and door replacement scheme of 119 properties (mostly flats but some houses and bungalows) at assorted locations (urban and rural) within the borough. All windows and doors have been replaced before with UPVC double glazed units. Addresses as follows: • Repton Manor Road, Ashford - 9 blocks of 2 story flats with 4 flats within each block (2 - 8), (10 – 16), (18 – 24), (26 – 32), (34 – 40), (25 – 31), (33 – 39), (41 – 47), (49 – 55). All flats have individual front entrance doors – 2 at street level, and 2 at first floor level (accessed via individual dedicated staircases). • Chart Road, Ashford - 3 blocks of 2 story flats with 4 flats within each block (38 - 44), (46 – 52), (54 – 60). All flats have individual front entrance doors – 2 at street level, and 2 at first floor level (accessed via individual dedicated staircases). • Austin Road, Ashford – 3 flats within converted pair of semi-detached houses (18 – 20A). • ennyson Road, Ashford – 6 properties with 2 flats within each property (converted semi-detached houses) (10 – 10A), (16 – 16A), (18 – 18A), (24 – 24A), (26 – 26A), (28 – 28A), and 1 property with 3 flats within a converted pair of semi-detached houses (13 – 15), • Downs Way, Charing - 2 blocks of 2 story flats with 5 flats within each block (2 - 10), (12 – 20), all with dedicated front entrance doors (5 no.) at street level. • School Road, Charing – 2 pairs of semi – detached block of 2 story flats with 4 flats within the block (30 - 36) all with dedicated front entrance doors (4 no.) at street level. • Shipland Bungalows, Egerton – 9 bungalows – 2 semi–detached (21 – 22), (23 – 24) and 5 terraced (25 – 29) • Shipland Houses, Egerton – 3 semi-detached houses – (2), (3 – 4) • Riverside Close, Kingsnorth – 1 block of 2 story flats with 4 flats within the block – (9, 11, 13, 15) • Hawthorne, Appledore – 2 blocks of 2 story flats with 4 flats within each block – (17, 18, 19, 20) • Lloyds Green, Wittersham – 6 semi-detached houses - 2 a pair (13 – 14) and 4 individual (10, 16, 18, 19, 29), and 1 block of 2 story flats with 4 flats within the block – (31, 32, 33, 34) • High Street, Rolvenden - 1 block of 2 story flats with 4 flats within the block – (9, 11, 13, 15) • St Marys, Rolvenden - 1 block of 2 story flats with 4 flats within the block – (1, 2, 3, 4) The works are programmed to be undertaken between January 2010 and March 2020, however, the start and end dates stated in this notice are provisional and maybe subject to review. The successful Contractor must be FENSA or CERTASS registered and tenders from those that are not will be rejected without further consideration. The fabricator/installer must be a licensed Kite marked manufacturer to BS7412 and BSENISO.9002:1987/BS5750:Part 2; 1987 and a full copy of this license must accompany the tender. Tenders not containing a copy of the license will be rejected without further consideration. Statutory leasehold consultation will be undertaken and tender prices will be notified to leaseholders. Planning permission is required for this work and an application for these works has been submitted to the relevant planning authority. Tender Evaluation: 70% Price - Quotation Form attached 30% Quality - Provision of supporting documentation or information which would assure us of the quality of your service.
