Tender description

Currently there is an Ebola crisis in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as recognised by World Health Organisation. As agreed by the DRC government There is an urgent need for a vaccination programme, linked to a clinical trial, to commence as soon as possible to control the Ebola outbreak. In order to carry out the trial a CRO (clinical research organisation) with specialist experience of working in the region is required. The scale of the study is one of, if not the largest ever undertaken. The study will consist of conducting monitoring at 5 DRC vaccination venues (in different communities in North Kivu) in parallel over a 2-year period. A CRO (clinical research organisation) is required with specialist experience to carry out monitoring of a new clinical Ebola vaccine trial to take place in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) over the next 2 years. The study will consist of conducting monitoring at 5 DRC vaccination venues (in different communities in North Kivu) in parallel.
