Tender description

Orbit is looking to procure smart meter thermostats from a high quality provider that will deliver a product and service that is demonstrably focused around the needs of Orbit. Tenderers are requested to study the specification documents in detail and ensure that the specified requirements can be met and thus understanding our requirements in order to price. All documents are available to view on Procontract. If you are not already registered on the e-procurement portal please register for fee at www.housingprocurement.com then search for this project under 'opportunities' and register your interest to view the documents. All queries and submissions must go through the portal. The contract will be awarded for an initial period of 6 months starting November 2018 (pilot) with an option to extend for a further 2 years (on a 1 + 1 basis) based on the successful performance on the initial 6 month pilot. Orbit is looking to run a pilot programme to test the effectiveness of smart technologies in terms of their ability to tackle fuel poverty whilst in parallel gaining valuable insight into how Orbit can improve how it manages its asset portfolio. Orbit has assets across 3 major regions: East: 4 229 South: 12 193 Heart of England: 15 193 The initial assets for the pilot would be within the Orbit Heart of England region (Corby, Coventry, East Staffordshire, Milton Keynes, North Warwickshire, Northampton, Nuneaton and Bedford, Rugby and Warwick). It is initially perceived that the ideal product/service will assist in alleviating our customer base from fuel poverty and help us with making strategic decisions to impact organisational performance. The value of this contract is unknown.
