PROVISION OF A COLD WEATHER SERVICE

Tender description

Medway Council are looking for innovative suggestions to propose to the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) for winter provision for rough sleepers. We do not have a guaranteed amount of funding in place, but the MHCLG have indicated that proposals which will have a significant impact on numbers of rough sleepers will be likely to receive agreement for the period of November 2019 to March 2020. The funding envelope for the period is approximately £30,000-£40,000 Key outputs will be: The number of Rough Sleepers receiving a service. Key outcomes will be: The number of Rough Sleepers supported into short term accommodation. The number of Rough Sleepers supported into long term accommodation The number of Rough Sleepers helped into employment or training (if any) The number of Rough Sleepers positively reconnected to their local area (if any) The number of Rough Sleepers supported with substance misuse issues (if any) The number of Rough Sleepers positively assisted in ways not listed above (if any) We welcome creative approaches to this, but any proposals must be able to be mobilised quickly as the funding for this service is strictly time limited. Following evaluation of the quotes received, we invite shortlisted providers to present their service proposal on the afternoon of 28 October.
