Tender description

It is the intention of the SwPPD to commence a procurement process for the provision of physiotherapy services from 1.4.2020. The objectives of a physiotherapy provision for the Police Forces is to ensure rapid access for our officers and Staff to treatment for musculoskeletal injury to ensure they are fit to undertake their role. This is not a substitute for NHS treatment, but is used to provide quicker response for employees with acute pain before their NHS treatment becomes available. The service provision will be made available to all Forces in the South West Region (namely Avon and Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Police Forces). This procurement is being administered by the South West Police Procurement Department (SwPPD). The SwPPD is hosted and managed by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Devon and Cornwall. It administers most of the procurements for goods, services and works undertaken by the respective Police and Crime Commissioners and Chief Constables of Devon and Cornwall, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
