Highway maintenance work

Tender description

Hackney Council is inviting tenders for the provision of highways maintenance covering improvement of footways, carriageways, street lighting and other associated highways maintenance works. These works will enable the successful delivery of the capital improvement programme, reactive maintenance works and other associated works, carried out under a measured term contract. The tender will comprise of 4 lots: Lot 1: Civil Engineering Measured Term Contract; Lot 2: Road Surfacing Measured Term Contract; Lot 3: Street Lighting Measured Term Contract; and Lot 4: Road Marking Measured Term Contract. Suppliers may bid for any of the lots. The highways maintenance contract is anticipated to commence in July 2020 for a 4-year term with the optional performance-related extension of a further 4 years (2 separate 2 year extension periods) up to 2028. Estimated value 7 000 000 GBP per year. Comprising: footway relays, excavations, drainage works, traffic management, bridge maintenance, reactive road surfacing maintenance and emergency call out works. Estimated value 3 000 000 GBP per year. Comprising of road surfacing, line marking, and anti-skid surfacing. Large schemes of work over 1 000 m2 as a minimum are carried out under this lot. The estimated value of 2 000 000 GBP per year. Comprising new and maintenance works to our street lighting and furniture stock and emergency call out works. The estimated value of 500 000 GBP per year. Comprising new and maintenance works of all road marking within London Borough of Hackney.
