North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is working for and on behalf of NHS North Tyneside Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)to identify any providers to help scope a specialised service within North Tyneside should it prove to be to viable and sustainable. NHS North Tyneside Clinical Commissioning Group 'The CCG' have issued an request for information (RFI) to help inform and gather intelligence from the market on the scope, viability and sustainability of an education programme for patients with Type 2 diabetes and learning disabilities. The CCG have issued a draft specification for an education programme for patients who have type 2 diabetes but do not have learning disabilities to enable the market understand what is required for the service, however a new specification will be developed should the CCG decide following market engagement to commission this service. Following the RFI the CCG may or may not conduct further market engagement for the development of this service dependant on feedback received.
