Tender description

The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (the Council) is seeking to source a suitably licensed contractor to deliver the service which is composed of the keeping, recycling and treating of Comingled recyclable material (the ‘Recyclable Waste’). The Council currently collect around 30 000 tonnes of co-mingled recycling at kerbside each year which is then processed at the Council’s MRF prior to the resulting product (approx. 18 000 tonnes) being delivered by the Council to a contractor for further processing and subsequent sale. The contract is required to start approximately 1.1.2020 and will run for a fixed period of 2 years until 31.12.2021 with the option to extend for an additional 2 year period. The contractor will carry out the service on behalf of the Council for a fixed rate per tonne as detailed in the pricing matrix.
