Tender description

This is an updated PIN (previous PIN reference 2019/S 141-347395), to notify the market of Highways England's requirement for occupational health services. We are planning to release the tender documentation on 18.10.2019. Highways England will be running 3 separate tenders, with the first requirement being for occupational health services, followed by an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and the third being mental health services and well-being services. The second and third requirements will be released within a month of the first tender being released. This specification is for the provision of occupational health services. The service shall enable the client to address particular health and attendance issues, meet their statutory obligations with regards to health surveillance, identify the preventative measures that can be taken to minimise the overall risk of sickness absence and to improve employee health and well-being in the workplace. The supplier shall provide the core requirements which shall include but not be limited to: — manager advice line and online support services, — online portal, — management referrals, — advice and assessments, — occupational health reports, — case conferences, — ill-health retirement, — pre-placement questionnaire review and checks, — surveillance services, — fitness for task and safety critical work services: —— immunisations, vaccinations, —— health screening services, —— physiotherapy services, — workplace assessments and adjustments which shall include: —— assessments relating to reasonable adjustments for disabilities, —— dyslexia assessments, —— specialist support services, including occupational therapy, —— display screen equipment assessments, —— vehicle ergonomic assessments, — drug and alcohol tests (collection and analysis), — education and awareness programmes, — publicity and promotion, and — service implementation.
