Antrim Forum Car Park Refurbishment

Tender description

The main carpark located at Antrim Forum Leisure Centre has been maintained over the years in terms of repairing parts of the surface as they have become worn or developed potholes. The carpark has now reached a point where parts are uneven due to continual repair and other parts have developed new areas of disrepair. In order to eliminate the risk of damage to vehicles, remove potential trip hazards and upgrade the aesthetics of the parking facility the carpark requires complete resurfacing. See Annex A: Site Location Plan. Project Scope – The scope for the scheme includes the following: • Overall resurfacing of existing bitmac surfacing to include kerb realignment, ancillary surface drainage works, line marking, etc. • Creation of revised traffic flow movement and parking bay layouts to increase the overall number of available spaces • Additional ancillary works as deemed necessary i.e. extension to existing parking areas including associated landscaping. Project Complexity – The overall car park area requires to be completed in sections to permit partial accessibility to parking bays by the general public/centre users throughout the duration of the works. The envisaged construction contract period is approx. 8 to 12 weeks. Further information on this will be detailed in the Invitation to Tender Documentation. The project may also include an extension to create additional car parking spaces
