1-921 Specialist support and technical advice (Tunnels and movable bridges)

Tender description

Highways England (HE) is looking to set up a contract for specialist support services and advice to support our work on: o Existing and proposed road tunnels and their operational / management systems o Service and other tunnels below or adjacent to the HE network, o Movable bridges, o Pumping stations and o Movable access gantries. o Also specialist support and advice relating to design and construction of large bored tunnels. The Consultant will have extensive and recent experience in road tunnel design, operation and management, working with national authorities and international groups on matters of policy, standards, management and best practice. The key objective is for knowledge transfer through, collaborative working and communication with HE project staff. The deliverables are to be on a reactive basis, as and when the need arises.
