Work Based Skills Music Provision for Young People at Risk of Violence

As part of Serious Violence / Violence Reduction grant award work by the Deputy Mayor to all Community Safety Partnerships in Greater Manchester, Trafford Council would like to commission a provider to deliver a programme of events that engage young people who are at risk of violence, through the development of music production skills and access to a music studio. Service outcomes: We are looking to commission a service which is outcomes focussed and uses an evidence based measurement tool to report impact. This will provide a picture of how young people feel about being able to access the sessions and what they achieve from attending the service. Providers are asked to detail how they would provide evidence of the suggested outcomes below; •Increased confidence and self-esteem for participating young people •The development of job based skills amongst participants •A reduced risk of participants engaging in violent/criminal activities •Increased participation in positive activities by participants.
