Tender description

Wearable-integrated rehabilitation application for musculoskeletal injury (MSkI) patients. JHubMED, in partnership with the Defence Directorate of Rehabilitation, is considering the potential requirement of a wearable-integrated rehabilitation application. In short, a mobile application that can be prescribed to patients who have suffered a musculoskeletal injury (MSkI), to empower them with access to relevant information, their exercise program where they can log their compliance and ability to log symptom scores. Critically, we would like the app to be able to gather activity data, potentially through integration with wearable or mobile sensors. This data should then be made available to a physiotherapist, so that they can make data-driven clinical decisions.The contract will involve a content-development phase in partnership with Defence Rehabilitation specialists, followed by a feasibility study of the finished solution, then a large-scale (single region) Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) of the solution. Then if the RCT is successful, a roll-out across the UK military.
