Tender description

This invitation to tender (ITT) aimed at selecting use cases to bring about success stories of the uptake of the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) products to spin-up sustainable applications and businesses. Based on a market analysis, the contractor should develop and demonstrate an end-to-end application based on C3S products and the tools provided by the Climate Data Store (CDS) infrastructure. The objective of such contracts is to create downstream applications at the service of users based on C3S data and the associated infrastructure. This contract award notice lists the contractors for Round 1 of the ITT. The contractor for contract No ECMWF/COPERNICUS/2019/C3S_428a_JBA will develop a highly innovative end-to-end climate risk assessment service for the ports sector based on the CS3 products and tools. The contractor for contract No ECMWF/COPERNICUS/2019/C3S_428b_TECNALIA will develop an application to increase the climate resilience of the forestry sector through the delivering of tailored climate information generated from the CDS. The contractor for contract No ECMWF/COPERNICUS/2019/C3S_428c_AGROAPPS will to develop a climate service for the agricultural insurance sector, through which insurance companies will have access to crop-specific climate analytics in order to design more accurate and climate ‘smart’ insurance contracts.
