Tender description

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is currently using two different hardware vendors for network switches to provide connectivity to core infrastructure and also across multiple Council locations. The current hardware is now end of life and the majority of equipment is end of support with the manufacturers. The Council intends to replace all existing core and access LAN switches. The Council intends to have a single vendor solution with a centralised management and monitoring capability. The Council anticipates requiring professional services during the design and implementation of the new LAN solution. The purpose of the questionnaire is to gain an understanding of the latest developments in network switching technology and how this can inform the Council’s specification.
