Tender description

County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust currently have a Pathology Laboratory Managed Service Contract in place with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Ltd.The contract is due to expire on the 31.12.2019. Due to collaborative work being carried out within the North East Region of the UK and under the guidance and instruction of NHS Improvement, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust are intending to extend their current Pathology Laboratory Managed Service Contract with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Ltd for a maximum of up to 24 months. The extension period will then enable the alignment of the Pathology Laboratory Managed Service Contract across the North East Region which will include North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and South Tees NHS Foundation Trust. The intention is that all three Trusts will then tender the opportunity collectively for a new Pathology Laboratory Managed Service Contract. The extension period will then enable the alignment of the Pathology Laboratoty Managed Service Contract across the North East Region which will include North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and South Tees Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The intention is that all three Trusts will then tender the opportunity collectively for a new Pathology Laboratory Managed Service Contract.
