Tender description
Plymouth City Council and Torbay Council need to increase the number of foster carers fostering for the local authority. Foster carers provide placements in family homes to children and young people from 0 to 18 years, including, in particular, sibling groups, and teenagers with complex and challenging behaviour. We are seeking to attract experienced foster carers, but also encourage those who have never fostered before to become foster carers. We particularly want to increase the number of locally available foster carers; in Plymouth for Plymouth children and young people and within Torbay for Torbay children and young people, to enable children to remain as close to their families, friends, education and health support as possible.
