GRANT: Air Quality Grant Scheme 2019/20

THIS GRANT FUNDING OPPORTUNITY IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO ENGLISH LOCAL AUTHORITIES. Defra invites you to apply for funding under the Air Quality Grant scheme 2019/20, under Section 31 of the Local Government Act 2003. The opportunity is open to Local Authorities (LAs) in England (subject to eligibility requirements set out in the opportunity). Priority will be given to LAs where Defra’s national air quality assessment, as reported to the EU Commission, identified and/or projected an exceedance; and/or that have one or more Air Quality Management Areas (AQMAs) The Authority is seeking Applications from LAs for the delivery of projects designed to support LAs to develop and/or implement measures to improve local air quality. Projects must specifically contribute to reductions in air pollutant emissions and/or concentrations.
