Tender description

A femtosecond pulse laser to use primarily for direct laser writing into glass. We will use this laser to modify the refractive index of glass to create optical components such as waveguides, phase plates and artificial scatterers. This application demands a high level of laser stability and low noise, to ensure the process is highly repeatable. We also require a high degree of tunability so that we may optimise laser parameters to produce the required modifications in a range of different materials.
