The SPS has a wide range of boilers, burners and ancillary equipment that requires to be fully operational and operate at maximum efficiency at all times. The SPS has a wide range of boilers, burners, heating and ancillary equipment that requires to be fully operational and operate at maximum efficiency at all times. This contract shall support this requirement by providing planned preventative maintenance and reactive services, in accordance with British Standards, statutory regulations, manufacturer’s instructions, SFG20 schedules and the operational requirements of the establishments. Remedial work and the provision of replacement equipment is also included within this contract. There are currently 13 directly managed prisons, a college (SPSC), central stores and an administrative headquarters at Calton House to support the operations of the prisons, in total 16 establishments. The contract term will be an initial 3 years with an optional extension period of up to 3 years.
