Tender description

This is an invitation to interested parties to attend Supplier Engagement Sessions for the provision of: Data Capture System software, Electronic Archiving Scanning Solution and scanners for the Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT) in Northern Ireland. Invitation to attend Supplier Engagement Sessions for the provision of: data capture system software, electronic archiving scanning solution and scanners. The pathology department at the Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT) are in the process of preparing a tender for the provision of data capture system software, electronic archiving scanning solution and scanners. QC exception is currently used as a Data Capture System and FDI scan is currently used as the archiving solution. Any solution proposed by the supplier must include migration of historical data from these applications. Data capture system: Software to capture handwritten data from paper pre-designed template, barcode recognition, mark recognition and output into secure applications. Retrieval of scanned form from captured image. This is to meet the growing demand placed on the laboratories from primary care services to reduce data entry and manual processes associated with paper based forms. The software will be linked with the Pathology Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Electronic archiving solution: A software solution to electronically archive records and save documentation to each individual laboratory department in order to meet the growing demand for a paperless Laboratory environment. The retrieval of archived data should be accessible from any PC within the laboratory. The software can be linked with the Pathology Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). We wish to invite potential bidders to Supplier Engagement Sessions (SES) with a view to helping inform the Tender panel of possibilities within the current marketplace. Issues to be discussed on the day are to include, but not limited to: 1) The possibility of a “combined” Data Capture and Electronic Archiving System; 2) The potential of “individual” Data Capture and Electronic Archiving systems; 3) The training, installation, maintenance and support offered for the above solutions. It is noted that this invitation is without obligation, non-attendance at these sessions will not preclude any supplier from submitting a tender at any subsequent tendering exercise. Neither the BSO Procurement and Logistics Service nor the Trust will be liable for any costs incurred by those companies attending the Supplier Engagement Day. Details of the supplier engagement sessions: The Supplier Engagement Sessions are scheduled to take place in: Conference Room, Procurement and Logistics Service, Supplies Centre, Gransha Hospital, Clooney Road, Londonderry, BT47 6YZ. Date: Tuesday 26.2.2019.
