Applying Earth Observation (EO) to Reduce Uncertainties in Emission Inventories

Details

Published
23 January 2019

Tender description

To obtain satellite/EO datasets and produce air pollutant concentration maps for a number of priority pollutants. To use appropriate chemical models to produce UK emissions maps using EO data. These maps will be compared and contrasted to the AQ maps derived from the NAEI/UK measurement network/PCM models. This project will identify evidence gaps, such as new sources, and evaluate uncertainties in the EO data. We are seeking the development and evaluation of a robust methodology for using EO data to validate the NAEI spatial emissions
