Tender description
The Forces are looking to replace their current case management systems for their forensics services. The Seven Forces work together in a strategic collaboration programme and are looking to explore proposals for the procurement of a case management solution for its forensic services. As part of the programme, the Seven Forces wish to work together more closely. Therefore the new system will be a single solution for all Seven Forces. It is anticipated that the solution will: (a) provide a fully digital workflow; (b) use mobile and desktop devices to gather information from the point of requests for service to attendance at scenes; (c) examine forensics exhibits; and (d) produce results and evidence for case files. 5) The solution will manage cases for the following areas of business in forensics and may expand into new forensics disciplines in the future: (a) Crime scene investigation (CSI); (b) digital forensics; (c) fingerprint bureaus; (d) fingerprint enhancement labs; (e) forensics collision investigation units; (f) manage submissions to external forensics service providers; (g) DNA recovery; (h) footwear analysis; and (i) forensics imaging. The Forces are looking to undertake a preliminary market testing exercise in order to explore some high level questions with interested organisations who have appropriate expertise and suitable case management solutions. This notice is not being used as a call for competition and is purely a preliminary exercise. If the Forces proceed to procurement a contract notice will be issued in due course. Interested organisations should refer to the registration page of the portal to take part in this pre-market testing exercise: https://uk.eu-supply.com/ctm/Company/CompanyRegistration/RegisterCompany?OID=4&B=BLUELIGHT
