School Transport Planning and Management Software

Tender description

Herefordshire Council provide home to school and college transport to approximately 4,500 clients across 120 establishments throughout Herefordshire and neighbouring Counties. The service is coordinated by the Council's Passenger Transport team based at Plough Lane, Hereford which includes public bus services (not in scope of this requirement), school and college transport, and special transport (SEN). The Passenger Transport team consists of 15 members of staff. The current database system in use for managing the service is scheduled to be withdrawn and so tenders are being invited for a replacement system that provides a software solution specifically designed for school, college, and SEN transport including integrated map based route planning functionality. The total value of the contract over the initial 3 year period (excluding the possible extensions) must not exceed £80,000 excluding VAT.
