RDC Election Printing Services 2020 - 2021

Tender description

Ryedale District Council supports the Returning Officer in delivering the full range of national and local elections and referendums across the District of 575 sq miles, running 90 polling stations and dealing with 42,000 electors, of which 7,000 have postal votes. For parliamentary elections, the Thirsk and Malton constituency covers a much bigger area of 825 sq miles, with 130 polling stations, 78,000 electors and 10,000 postal voters. It also supports the Electoral Registration Officer in running the annual canvass of 26,000 households and delivering year round voter registration and absent voting work. The Council is looking to put in place a contract for Election Printing services for a 24 month period – this is expected to cover 2 canvasses and 2 scheduled elections (though this may change if politics determine an extra election(s) is required.
