Tender description

This is not a call for competition, a separate contract notice will be published when the procurement procedure commences. The South East Business Boost (SEBB) European Regional Development Funded (ERDF) programme, led by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, which began in 2017, comes to an end December 2019. East Sussex County Council, alongside SELEP partners, are applying for up to 3 years worth of further funding to build on the original SEBB programme and deliver additional support to local SMEs, via business advice and small grants. We are looking to engage with qualified and suitable service providers at a market event in order to ensure the procurement plans are clear for service providers and to answer questions any potential service providers may have about our future plans. Please note this market engagement event is only regarding the East Sussex delivery element of the SELEP-wide SEBB programme. For details go to SE Shared Services Portal: ESCC — 028243 This is not a call for competition, a separate contract notice will be published when the procurement procedure commences. Proposals are subject to change through the process of bidding for European funding. The SEBB programme will promote sustainable economic growth in East Sussex with the key outcomes of the programme being: (a) creating jobs; (b) increasing productivity; (c) supporting the creation of new to firm products or services; (d) supporting both established and ambitious new businesses; (e) supporting priority sectors to the East Sussex Economy; and (f) promoting inclusive growth across the County. To deliver these outcomes we will be procuring for 2 distinct areas of work. Firstly, we are looking to procure an ERDF SME Grants programme, where the provider will market the SEBB growth grants to local businesses, assist them in their applications and ensure targets (e.g job creation) are met. Secondly, we are looking to procure ERDF business support, where businesses can receive up to 12 hours of 1 to 1 or 1 many business support. This procurement will require providers to be able to demonstrate a number of specialisms, and is anticipated to be divided into lots.
