Tender description

Creation of new publicly accessible spaces to first floor level including installation of an external escape staircase & refurbishment of existing lift; installation of new public male and female WC's and an accessible WC to first floor level; Removal of existing shelving and racking to existing 3 storey area known as 'The Stack' and forming new floors to correspond with existing ground and first floor level, creation of new offices/meeting rooms. Other works include- creation of a Multi Purpose Meeting Room to ground floor level; New public male & female WC's and a Changing Places facility to ground floor level, repair or replacement works are to be carried to existing roof over current Research Room at ground floor level to Duke Street side of building, new disabled access/fire escape walkway and stairs from first floor multi-events room. Staircase to be located in the existing yard at the rear of the building.
