Tender description

Provision of alternative provider of medical services (APMS) at 2 GP surgeries: (a) Randolph GP Surgery; (b) Soho Square General Practice. Procurement will be divided into 2 lots and bidders may bid for either one or both of the 2 lots. Initial contract term of five (5) years from 1.4.2020, with options to extend for 2 further periods of up to 5 years, up to a maximum term of fifteen (15 years). Extension options at Soho Square will be subject to approval. Estimated total value shown below is the maximum potential value for both lots over the maximum potential contract term of 15 years. Provision of alternative provider of medical services to provide general medical services at Randolph Surgery, 235a Elgin avenue, London. The new provider will be expected to work closely with the local GP federation and ensure that the practice is managed and run to meet the needs of the registered patients, ensuring that high quality general medical services are provided in a consistent and accessible way. This will include providing clinical leadership to the practice team at the practice and ensuring robust governance processes are in place. The practice has a weighted patient list size of 7816 as of 1.7.2019 and an approximate annual value of 759 630 GBP. It is anticipated that the existing premises will be made available for immediate use by the replacement provider organisation and it understood to be an existing workforce with TUPE entitlement and transfer interest. The CCG wishes to appoint a suitable organisation to provide general practice medical services at Randolph Surgery from 1.4.2020 for an initial period of 5 years (estimated contract value 3 798 150 GBP), with the option of an extension of up to a further 10 years, under a 5 + 5-year arrangement, to a maximum potential contract term of 15 years to 31.3.2035. Estimated value shown in II.2.6 is for the maximum 15-year term. This will include providing clinical leadership to the practice team at the practice and ensuring robust governance processes are in place. The practice has a weighted patient list size of 4101 as of 1.7.2019 and an approximate annual contract value of 399 163 GBP. It is anticipated that the existing premises will be made available for immediate use by the replacement provider organisation and it understood to be an existing workforce with TUPE entitlement and transfer interest. The CCG wishes to appoint a suitable organisation to provide general practice medical services at Soho Square General Practice from 1.4.2020 for an initial period of 5 years (approximate contract value 1 995 818 GBP). An option for the extension of the contract of up to a further 10 years, under a 5 + 5-year arrangement, to a maximum potential contract term of 15 years to 31.3.2035 is currently awaiting approval. The outcome of this decision should be known prior to any formal contract award. The estimated value shown below is for the maximum potential 15-year term.
