Tender description

This is an award Notice for the establishment of a framework agreement with 3 firms. TII had a requirement for a contractor to carry out site investigations in order to provide information in respect of existing underground utilities (services) to inform the preliminary design and environmental impact assessment for the MetroLink project. The non-intrusive underground utility investigations shall be carried out to the PAS 128:2014 Survey Level B1P and to a detection method of M1P, M2P, M3P and M4P. A combination of manhole inspection, electro magnetic location (EML) and ground penetrating radar (GPR) is to be used to complete the non-intrusive utility mapping survey of all underground services. Other survey technologies can be used subject to investigation supervisor’s approval. Due to the volume of the investigations required it is proposed to award the works in 3 lots. Site works extent from Estuary to Naul Road (North of The Dublin Airport). Refer to tender drawings for location plans showing areas where utility investigation/survey is to be carried out under this contract. The site works will be carried out within the public realm in both urban and suburban areas as well as on private property. Site works extent from the Dublin Airport to Gateway Crescent (Ballymun).
