Tender description
London Borough of Barking and Dagenham requires suppliers to provide services and goods for Arboriculture and Horticultural Services. The requirements will be let under a framework and divided into the following lots: Lot 1: Tree Operations and Emergency Response Tree Work; Lot 2: Supply, Planting and Aftercare of Trees; Lot 3: Supply of Nursery Shrubs and Bedding Plants; Lot 4: Supply of Horticultural Materials; Lot 5: Landscaping and Groundwork Operations. The Authority intends to appoint 5 suppliers to each lot. Details of the call-offs/allocation of work/goods is detailed in the tender documents. The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to carry out — a mini-competition process for cyclical and unplanned tree operations between all the framework providers appointed to Lot 1 of the Framework. The Council will issue to all the framework providers on this lot a written specification of the works required. All the framework providers within this lot shall be required to submit a price for the work required based on the specific requirements of the work and they shall be required to confirm that they are able to complete the works required by the specified date, — a direct award for the reactive tree operations to each of framework providers on Lot 1. The estimated work in any given contract year will be divided equally between the framework providers names on this Lot. The method of division of work is at the sole discretion of the Council taking into consideration each framework provider’s submitted tender pricing for the work required work, — a call-off procedure for emergency response tree work to each framework provider named on this lot on a rota basis per emergency response event, commencing with the highest scoring framework provider. To supply, plant and provide aftercare of trees within the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham as detailed in the specification. The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to carry out — a mini-competition process for the supply, planting and aftercare of trees between all the framework providers appointed to Lot 2 of the framework. The Council will issue to all the framework providers on this lot a written specification of the works required. All the framework providers within this lot shall be required to submit a price for the work required based on the specific requirements of the work and they shall be required to confirm that they are able to complete the works required by the specified date. The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to carry out a mini-competition process for the supply of nursery shrubs and bedding plants to all the framework providers appointed to Lot 3 of the framework. The Council will issue to all the framework providers on this lot a written specification of the goods required. All the framework providers within this lot shall be required to submit a price for the goods required and they shall be required to confirm that they are able to deliver the goods by a specified date. The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to carry out a mini-competition process for the supply of horticultural materials to all the framework providers appointed to Lot 4 of the framework. The Council will issue to all the framework providers on this lot a written specification of the goods required. All the framework providers within this lot shall be required to submit a price for the goods required and they shall be required to confirm that they are able to deliver the goods required by the specified date. The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to carry out a mini-competition process for landscaping and groundwork operations between all the framework providers appointed to Lot 5 of the framework. The Council will issue to all the framework providers on this lot a written specification of the works required. All the framework Providers within this lot shall be required to submit a price for the work required based on the specific requirements of the work and they shall be required to confirm that they are able to complete the works required by the specified date.
