Tender opportunity is advertised via the e-portal, The Chest:- https://www.the-chest.org.uk/ Cumbria County Council requires contractors to carry out 1 or more specific gritting routes in South Lakeland and Barrow. The services and the gritting routes are as described in the specification. The contractor will be responsible for providing the gritting services on the route(s) awarded as and when notified for the whole winter period (to 30.4.2020). Contractors can bid to supply the services for any 1 or more of the routes. Only one supplier will be awarded a contract for each route. Not all of the routes may be awarded to external contractors.
