Special school construction work

Tender description

Alfreton Park is a Local Authority funded generic special school sited within Alfreton Park, Alfreton, Derbyshire. The Council is proposing to build a new replacement school on a site adjacent to Alfreton Park, known as Highfield Plantation. The proposed new school will provide accommodation in line with DfE guidance for 100 pupils. There is an expectation that the requirement for special school places will continue to increase. For further details, please refer to the procurement pack. The procurement is being undertaken in accordance with the UK Public Contract Regulations (PCR 2015). The procedure being used is the two stage restricted procedure for a works project using the JCT2016 Design and Build form of contract. Bidders are required to submit a compliant bid and are required to offer a range of added value and innovative solutions in a range of areas to the Council at tender stage.
