Refuse transport services

Tender description

Conwy County Borough Council wishes to arrange a contract for the provision of transportation of waste and recycling materials from the authority’s waste management facilities to various specified disposal and recycling facility locations. The authority proposes to enter into contract for a period of 5 years with the option to extend by a further 2 years with the successful supplier(s). The anticipated commencement date is 20.1.2020. Conwy County Borough Council wishes to arrange a contract for the provision of transportation of waste and recycling materials from the authority’s waste management facilities to various specified disposal and recycling facility locations. The authority proposes to enter into contract for a period of 5 years with the option to extend by a further 2 years with the successful supplier(s). The anticipated commencement date is 20.1.2020. The service provider will be required to transport the authority’s waste as instructed. The estimated number of hauls per year is shown in the specification document and are listed in the schedule of rates in the price document section of the tender documents. However, no guarantees on the number of hauls required will be provided. The service provider is also required to provide standard rates for the transportation of wastes and materials to and from locations not covered in the schedule of rates which the authority may request. The service provider is to have in place provisions for supplying an emergency response service as detailed in the specification.
