Tender description

Lancashire County Council is seeking to procure collection and transportation services for gypsum containing waste arising from waste facilities located in the administrative county of Lancashire. These services also require the provision of a suitably permitted facility to accept the gypsum containing waste for recycling. The services are being procured on the basis of 3 area lots: Lot 1: South Lancashire; Lot 2: North Lancashire; and Lot 3: East Lancashire. Lancashire County Council is seeking to procure collection and transportation services for gypsum containing waste arising at 6 waste facilities located in the administrative county of Lancashire. The contract also requires the provision of a suitably permitted facility to accept the gypsum containing waste for recycling. No minimum tonnages are guaranteed; however, the total tonnage of gypsum containing waste arising for this lot is approximately 400 tonnes per annum. The contract is for an initial period of 3 years with 2 options to extend. Each extension is for 12 months. Further details are provided in the invitation to tender. The contract also requires the provision of a suitably permitted facility to accept the gypsum containing waste for recycling. No minimum tonnages are guaranteed; however, the total tonnage of gypsum containing waste arising for this lot is approximately 280 tonnes per annum.
