Provision of AHP (Podiatry) workforce expertise

HEE is supporting the national AHP workforce programme to set out the action needed to improve supply and retention of AHPs and their deployment and development across professions and geography. This will ensure that by 2024, we have the right AHP workforce with the right skills in the right place to deliver high quality care. Podiatry has been identified as one of the vulnerable professionals in that recruitment to undergraduate programmes is insufficient to meet the demands of service. This project seeks to explore the challenges and opportunities to build this workforce, to secure future supply and strengthen the profession for the future. HEE is looking to purchase AHP workforce expertise to drive and deliver a project that thoroughly explores the issues around AHP (Podiatry) supply, to build sector understanding and appreciation of the developing routes into podiatry and to constructively challenge the status quo – driving for 21st century solutions.
