Tender description

The Council is seeking a single provider to deliver the Refugee Resettlement Programmes’ Orientation Service for Swansea in accordance with the delivery specifications provided by the Council. The UK Government made a commitment to relocate to the UK, some of the most vulnerable refugees from Syria who have already been displaced to the neighbouring countries through a programme called the Vulnerable Persons’ Resettlement Scheme (VPRS) by 2020. The scheme prioritises the most vulnerable, for example survivors of torture and violence, women and children at risk and those in need of medical care. In addition, the UK Government made a commitment to resettle 3 000 refugee children and their families at risk, who are residing in the Middle East and North Africa Regions through the Vulnerable Children’s Resettlement Scheme (VCRS) over the same period. The Government has now expanded these schemes and committed support for another year 2020-2021 to include refugees from a variety of countries and nationalities.
