The required works may encompass the following: The requirement was for engagement of experienced and competent contractor or contractors with the capacity and resources to undertake the abandonment only and the replacement of both low and medium pressure (up to 2 bar operating pressure) gas mains and service replacement works in the diameter range 2” to 12” diameter. (Predominately, the works are low pressure and in the diameter range 2” – 8” in urban locations.) The works consist of a number of discrete projects forming ‘packages’ of works. Each package contains gas mains and service abandonment only or replacement works. The packages will be grouped in a geographic area to minimise travel and assist with contract mobilisation. The works will be located in Thames Valley, London East, Kent, London West and Burgess Hill. The Works consist of a number of discrete projects forming ‘packages’ of works. The works will be located in Thames Valley, London East, Kent, London West and Burgess Hill. Lot 2 Thames Valley 2 Central; approximately 36,3 Km of works in total, comprising of 15 discrete work packages. The works consist of a number of discrete projects forming ‘packages’ of works. Each package contains gas mains and service abandonment only or replacement works. The packages will be grouped in a geographic area to minimise travel and assist with contract mobilisation. The works will be located in Thames Valley, London East, Kent, London West and Burgess Hill. Lot 3 Thames Valley 3 South; approximately 52,7 Km of works in total, comprising of 38 discrete work packages. The works consist of a number of discrete projects forming ‘packages’ of works. Each package contains gas mains and service abandonment only or replacement works. The packages will be grouped in a geographic area to minimise travel and assist with contract mobilisation. The works will be located in Thames Valley, London East, Kent, London West and Burgess Hill. Lot 4 Kent; approximately 25 Km of works in total, comprising of 23 discrete work packages.
