The overarching aim of the Adult Services Directorate is to enable all communities, families and individuals to thrive, with a specific goal of investing in early intervention, reablement and prevention to maximise independence. The Direct Payments Support Service aims to compliment the Council’s corporate priorities by ensuring that: • People live longer and have healthier lives; • People are safeguarded in vulnerable situations; • Independence is promoted for older people; • People are enabled and healthy lifestyles are promoted Independence for people with disabilities are promoted; • Communities are enabled to support themselves; • The City is kept safe. The Council requires a Support Service thst will provide insurance to individuals receiving Direct Payments.
