Tender description

Leicestershire County Council (the Employer) is seeking to identify and appoint contractors(s) to a highway testing Framework Agreement (Framework). The proposed Framework period is 2 years with potential extensions of a further 2 years in 1 year increments subject to performance. The work involved consists of sampling/testing; site investigation, bridge assessments and presentation of reports to support the employers highways maintenance and capital programmes. The employer may require the contractor to provide other associated services in delivering the service e.g traffic management; carriageway coring. The estimated annual total spend through the Framework is up to 450 000 GBP per annum. The estimated spend through the Framework is not guaranteed and is dependent on budgets made available to the employer. The Framework start date is the 1.9.2019. The employer intends to appoint up to 4 No (four) contractors to the framework. Testing could be carried out anywhere in the county of Leicestershire. The selection and quotation procedure for the allocation of work to framework contractors is in Annex 2 of the framework contract data. Tenderers must price all items in the price schedule. Tenderers must fully answer the questions in document ‘004 Quality Questions’.
