This contract is for the receipt, haulage and treatment of dry recyclables collected from domestic and non domestic premises within the geographical boundary of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. This contract is for the receipt, haulage and treatment of dry recyclables collected from domestic and non domestic premises within the geographical boundary of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. The aim of this contract is to provide the highest quality kerbside recycling service for all service users and to increase the diversion of recyclables from landfill by maximising customer participation. Cleansing services are high profile and as such are often seen by customers as the benchmark as to how well their Council is performing. The Council is looking for a provider to deliver a flagship service for the Council.
