Tender description

The Council is seeking tenders from interested and capable economic operators to provide for collection, transport and treatment/disposal of landfill leachate produced from selected East Sussex County Council landfill sites. It will cover collection and tankering from 5 sites in East Sussex to the landfill transfer site (LTS) in Pebsham. This will involve the need for one lorry every day (5 loads of 20 m3, 25 000 m3/year) plus additional 1 or 2 lorries during the wettest period to a maximum of 15 loads per day during exceptionally wet conditions. Average total per year is 36 500 m3, but can fluctuate between 28 000 m3 and 45 000 m3. The Council will enter into a contract for an initial period of three (3) years, commencing 1.7.2019, with an option to extend for a further period of up to two (2) years, five (5) years in total. Provision for the tankering of leachate service.
