The London Borough of Croydon invites interested Providers of Independent Living Services to a Workshop on the application process for DPS 3- Independent Living, on Monday 7th or Wednesday 9th October 2019, from 11.00am to 13.00pm Monday 7th October - Registration: 10.30 – 11.00am Wednesday 9th October - Registration: 10.30 – 11.00am Venue: Croydon Conference Centre, 5- 9 Surrey St, CR0 1RG Croydon Council has arranged a workshop on the application process for providers who wish to apply to join the DPS for Independent Living. This event is optional and has been arranged for providers who need further guidance on how to apply to join the DPS and complete the Selection Questionnaire Providers can attend either on Monday or Wednesday Supported Living includes a range of care and/or support services to people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues, etc. to help them live more independently. This will include services such as 24 hour on site care and support. Housing Related Support: includes a range of accommodation based housing support services for vulnerable homeless people including: rough sleepers, ex-offenders, and women fleeing domestic violence and sexual abuse with the intended outcome of preventing or relieving homelessness and enabling adults to live independent and fulfilling lives. The services also include floating support. Gateway Services are currently planning a number of market engagement events based on the proposed way forward for the provision of supported housing services for vulnerable single homeless people in 2020-2025. We will update you on the programme for these events. The outcomes from the events will be used to update the Market Position Statement and refresh service specifications. Young People’s Semi-Independent Accommodation includes a range of accommodation and support services for looked after young people and care leavers aged 16 to 25 that enable them to prepare for independence and reach their full potential during their transition to adult life. To register your attendance at this event please email healthandsocialcaredps@croydon.gov.uk with the name of your company and the names of the delegates you wish to attend and a contact e-mail address. (Maximum 2 delegates per organisation. However, we may restrict this to 1 delegate per organisation depending on demand).
