The City of York Council’s Local Area Team (LAT) wishes to award a contract to a provider to secure the engagement and participation of parents, and carers, of children and young people with SEND ensuring that parents and carers of children and young people have the opportunity to express their views and influence SEND service delivery through engagement and co-production. The Provider will represent local groups of parents and carers of children and young people with disabilities (0-25) across York and work alongside the local authority to ensure the services they plan, commission, deliver and monitor meet the needs of children and families. The provider is not a lobbying group but an impartial facilitator to ensure parent/carer voice influences service developments and strategies for children and young people with SEND Keywords: parenting, parents, carer, forums
