Tender description

Leeds City Council invites you to submit a tender for a refurbishment and ‘repower’ retrofit of four refuse collection vehicles (RCVs). The successful bidder will take what would have been end-of-life diesel RCVs and re-purpose/re-engineer them as fully electric vehicles with a new lifespan of 6 years; as part of this process the contractor will also refurbish mechanical components, bodywork, the chassis and cabins in order for those components to last for the extended operational life of the vehicles involved. It should be noted that this tender will have a price range applied to it, in terms of obligating a maximum and minimum tendered price that will be deemed compliant. The range is between 700 000 GBP and 1 000 000 GBP. Any price submissions that exceed 1 000 000 GBP will automatically be disqualified, rendering such tenders non-compliant, which will mean quality submissions are not evaluated.
