CS Facilitation Fund Phase 3

Tender description

The Countryside Stewardship Facilitation Fund (CSFF) provides funding for individuals or organisations (e.g. a farmer or NGO/Private Company) to bring farmers, foresters and other land managers together to work cooperatively for environmental improvements at the landscape scale, within a defined area. This is an integrated cooperative approach that can cover land under existing Agri-environment and forestry/woodland agreements, common land and land not currently covered by a scheme. It builds on the principles of partnership working to deliver environmental benefits, as demonstrated by various initiatives, including farm clusters and the farmer-led Nature Improvement Area. The objective of this project is to evaluate the added benefit of Facilitation Fund groups with a particular focus on contributions to nature recovery and ecological restoration. The objective of this project is to be met by a suitable provider via the following tasks: • applying a previously developed monitoring framework (Task 1), • applying natural and social capital indicators to assess the added benefit of FF groups (Task 2 and 3), • investigating the additional resources captured by FF groups (Task 4), • providing a spatial update to Webmap tool capture the project’s findings (task 5), • disseminating the work to practitioners through a seminar (Task 6).
