QS Consultant The City of London Corporation (the City) invites Tenders for the provision of QS Consultant 30-34 New Bridge Street. The main responsibilities of the QS Consultant include: • Act as the QS for the project during RIBA Stage 1-7 • Provide cost reports for the design stage reports • Provide a monthly update on the estimated construction cost • Carry out monthly valuations • Settle the final account with the contractor M&E Consultant M&E The City of London Corporation (the City) invites Tenders for the provision of M&E Consultant 30-34 New Bridge Street. • Act as the Mechanical and Electrical Engineer for the project during RIBA Stage 1-7 • Develop the full design and specification to RIBA Stages 1-7 for a refurbishment to the whole building except the ground floor retail units and their demised spaces at basement level • Assist in the submission of applications and assist in negotiations for building permissions and all approvals as necessary (e.g.. Building Control, Network Rail, Party Wall awards, Access licences, etc.) • Assist in the production of the tender documentation suitable for an Invitation to Tender to potential main contractors under a JCT Design and Build contract. Project Manager Preparation of a Project Execution Plan • Management of multi-disciplinary design team • Management and review of required applications for all statutory permissions/ conditions with relevant stakeholders which may include the Local Authority, Planning and Building Control • Understanding of the City of London’s structure and approvals processes • Administering and maintaining a robust change control procedure • Issuing instructions to the Contractor • Maintaining a document management system • Chairing monthly progress meetings • Preparing and issuing monthly construction progress reports • Agreeing commissioning and testing procedures • Agreeing a defect reporting procedure and managing the schedules
