Tender description

Supply of cleaning and janitorial materials and apparatus and the provision of washroom and air freshener services. The purpose of this notice is to notify the market of this forthcoming proposed tender opportunity for the supply and distribution of cleaning and janitorial materials and apparatus and the provision of washroom and air freshener services which is being conducted by the National Procurement Service for Wales (NPS). The NPS acts on behalf of the public sector in Wales to deliver value for money from the procurement of common and repetitive goods and services 'once for Wales'. The NPS on behalf of the Welsh public sector wishes to establish a collaborative framework agreement for the cleaning materials/apparatus and washroom/air freshener services. This framework will be replacing the current NPS cleaning and janitorial materials framework (NPS-CFM-0026-15) and the NPS cleaning services framework (NPS-CFM-0008-14). The new combined framework will be made available to use by all NPS customers. The lotting structure of this framework is yet to be confirmed however key areas are likely to include but are not limited to: — general cleaning and janitorial materials — bulk cleaning materials — washroom services — air freshener services It is anticipated that the duration of this framework agreement will be for 24 months with an option to extend for up to further 24 months. The NPS will be engaging closely with potential bidders during the procurement process to create suitable and cost-effective solutions for its customers. The intention is to achieve the very best value for money in the widest sense. Consequently, community benefit clauses will be considered as part of the proposed procurement as core or non-core or a combination of both to address socio-economic and/or environmental issues.
