The National Lottery Community Fund (formerly ‘The Big Lottery Fund’, hereafter known as ‘the Fund’) is seeking to procure a suitable supplier to deliver research services to inform our support and guidance to customers and other stakeholders about the effective management and long-term sustainability of community facilities. The purpose of the research is to review the existing evidence and contribute new knowledge about how community facilities can be effectively managed and sustained, in order to increase understanding within the Fund, among our customers, and in the wider civil society sector about what it takes for communities to run assets effectively. The research contract will be managed directly by the Fund’s Wales Directorate, but we expect the research to be UK-wide in scope. The contract will commence on the 1st of September 2019 and end no later than the 28th of February 2020. We expect the research element to be completed in a shorter window than the total length of the contract, which runs until February in order to include a scheduled research dissemination event in the week commencing February 24th.
